OpenGov Leads the Way in AI and Transparency

OpenGov expands AI capabilities with latest acquisition for “no-code” workflows, forms, and custom applications

SAN FRANCISCO (February 11, 2025) – OpenGov, the leader in AI-enabled software for local and state governments, has acquired Ignatius, a dynamic low-code platform that automates public sector forms and workflows and enables the creation of custom-built applications. This marks OpenGov’s 10th acquisition in service of its mission to power more effective and accountable government.

Ignatius is an AI company trusted by state and local agencies for grants management, disaster preparedness and recovery, infrastructure banking and loan compliance, scholarship tracking, broadband funding, and other federal and state program administration. The platform’s AI capabilities enable OpenGov to accelerate its support of public administrators tackling unique and complex initiatives with highly configurable software. This includes the ability to rapidly generate custom and secure government apps using natural language prompts and AI inferencing capabilities. Mark Della Volpe, founder of Ignatius, will lead the advancement of this product line, and Graeme Ownjazayeri, COO of Ignatius, will oversee its solution architecture, partner network, and customer success.

In addition to this acquisition, OpenGov has recently introduced a series of AI-powered features across multiple product lines:
